RMA Week-at-a-Glance August 9 – August 15

Coffee & Conversations / Open House
Admissions event for prospective families
10:30 am – 12:30 pm
 
Pre-Game Tailgate
Families invited to join us ~ 6:15pm at Maginnis Field for fanfare, fun, and food (boxed meals, including burgers and hotdogs sold at concessions stand). More details forthcoming this week.

Location: Riverside Military Academy / Maginnis Field
7:30 pm
 
Weekend Activities (sponsored by Student Affairs)
include Curtis Hall Gym, Barracks/Curtis Weight Room, West Portal (Basketball Court, Volleyball Court), Goomba Grill (Billiards, Lounge, Table Tennis, Video Games), lunch & Walmart trips, and Friday game night, trivia, or karaoke. Contact StudentAffairs@riversidemilitary.org for more information.

•    Friday activities: 5:00 PM–7:15 PM
•    Saturday activities: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
•    Sunday activities: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
 
Also on Saturday, August 15: Team Airsoft (High School only event)
Team Airsoft is an outdoor airsoft experience in woods of Georgia. Cadets who own their own airsoft gear are able to bring it with them to use on this event. Cadets who don't own gear have the ability to rent all the required gear to play, at the field.  

 
Parent Volunteer Opportunity
 
When?  Saturday, August 29 (7:30 am arrival, 4:00 pm departure)
 
Where? Riverside campus
 
What?  Raiders Meet – Parent Volunteers to score and grade competitions
Provide instructions, time competition with stopwatch, record information on timesheets which are then taken to the scoring room
 
Description?  Volunteers provide instructions to the teams, time them with a stopwatch, record times on scoresheets, route scoresheets to the scoring room, then grade the next team, and so on.
 
Required?  No prior experience, but Volunteers must be able to attend a 20-minute training with 1SG Anderson the week prior to the event.
